Feeding the Hungry

Soup Kitchen is among the main ongoing social service activities which caters cooked food (including broth during winter months) to the poorest of the poor. We have been carrying out these food distribution activities from over 5 years. Surveys are done, and the most deserving are prioritized. No community is left out. We have distributed more than 150,000 meals since the COVID-19 lockdown began in India.

A Typical Day in the Our Nation Soup Kitchen

The chef and his team arrive by 6 AM. Cleaning, chopping the vegetables, grating the ginger and garlic, slicing the onions into fine pieces, boiling the water for cooking the rice, getting the spices ready for being added to the masalas—all this and more is routine.
